The Mumbai cricket Association has become a big political battleground. This after Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan jumped into the fray and filed his nomination as a representative of the Mazgaon Cricket club. He now becomes eligible to contest for the president's post which even NCP supremo Sharad pawar is eyeing. Politicial heavyweights are in the fray to fight the Mumbai Cricket Association elections. While Prithviraj Chavhan & Pawar were set for a face off, more political leaders are likely to file their nominations. BJP leader Gopinath Munde has joined the race while MNS Chief Raj Thackeray's close aide Nitin Sardesai is also likely to file nomination. 5pm is the deadline for clubs' to submit their representatives for MCA elections to be held on October 18.
