Hyderabad

SRH Bio

Hyderabad is the new name for the franchise from Hyderabad after the previous franchise called Hyderabad was terminated in 2012. The current owner is the Sun TV network who have signed a five-year deal for the ownership.

The line-up remains similar to what was in store for Chargers. Kumar Sangakkara has been retained as captain. However, there is a change in the coaching staff with Tom Moody heading the job. VVS Laxman who was a player until last year will now be the team mentor-ambassador. The earlier franchise had won the second edition which was held in South Africa. Apart from that particular edition, they never had a decent run in any of the other editions.

In their first edition under the new name and with the backing of a new owner, Sunrisers will want to get off to a good start. The very few changes made to the side should play in their advantage as the players have already been with each other in previous seasons.
