Highveld Lions

HL Bio

The Highveld Lions is a team comprising of cricketers from Gauteng and North West first-class cricket teams in South Africa. Its home ground is the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The Lions team was founded in 2003. In 2012, they narrowly missed out on a title chance as they were beaten by the Titans to win the domestic Twenty20 competition. However, as a result of finishing as runners up, they gave themselves a chance of playing in the Champions League T20 later that year.
