Profile

A huge, middle-order right-handed batsman and a useful bowler, Craig Thyssen relies purely on instinct, rather than genuine talent.

Thyssen made his first-class debut for Eastern Province in the 2003/04 season. An athletic fielder, he has often anchored his team to success, in the absence of big names. In the shorter format, he started off with the Eagles, before eventually moving to Warriors, where he helped his side taste success. He was included in the squad for the 2010 Champions League T20, and continues to be an integral part of the side.
