Profile

Kraigg Brathwaite made his first-class debut aged just 16, scoring 73 as he opened the batting for Barbados. He also represented the Under-19 team in the 2010 U-19 World Cup at New Zealand, where he emerged as the leading run-scorer for the Windies with 335 runs.

A right-hand batsman who compares his batting style with that of the legendary Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brathwaite was called up to the West Indian Test side in 2009, at a time when majority of the senior players had gone on a strike. However, he made his Test debut only in 2011, against Pakistan.
