Party Report: Moët Launches Chandon, Made In India
How many bottles did which 500 people drink? Find out!
For the Saturday night launch of its very first sparkling wines produced in and for India, Moët Hennessy fixed upon a mystical French garden theme. The inside/outside garden venue at Mumbai’s Four Season’s Hotel was transformed by the creative minds at concept store Le Mill.
Stars invited for the first taste of Chandon’s Indian wines included Neha Dhupia, Sushmita Sen, Sophie Choudhry Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arjun and Mehr Rampal, Evelyn Sharma, Anusha Dandekar, Shamita Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Tusshar Kapoor and Sohail Khan.
The question of the night was which Chandon was better. The Brut or the Brut Rosé? The room was split. Indian winemakers and importers often err on the sweet side for the Indian market. That's why Chandon Brut's crisp and dry 'Brut' finish came as a pleasant surprise to those who voted yellow. Fans of Rosé are simply fans of Rosé. Vogue confirmed with the Moët Hennessy office today and the final figures are in: The crowd went through 500 bottles. There were 500 people. You do the math.
