London, May 13 (ANI): New Zealand reportedly aims to prevent England spinner Graeme Swann from tilting the balance against them on his return to the international cricket at Lord's during the forthcoming first test between the two sides.
Swann had not been a part of England's three-test matches against New Zealand following surgery on his elbow. His replacement Monty Panesar managed to take only five wickets in 130 overs, leading to a disappointing series draw, the Guardian reports.
According to the report, New Zealand's key batsman Ross Taylor is planning to bat aggressively against Swann and not let him settle down during the series.
Taylor has claimed that he is in a better mental state and position to play against England, unlike his earlier contribution of 94 runs from five innings.
Taylor said he is prepared to put the past to rest and create history during the Kiwis tour of England. (ANI)
