Zardari to stay put in Pakistan after end of tenure: Presidential spokesperson

Islamabad, July 16 (ANI): Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari will stay in Pakistan even after the end of his term, Presidential spokesperson has said.

Senator Farhatullah Babar said that Zardari's five-year term comes to an end on September 8, 2013 and he won't contest elections for a second term, but will likely tend to party affairs.

According to the Express Tribune, addressing the media outside Parliament House, he said that Zardari will not resign from his office before the completion of his tenure.

He added that Zardari was s democratically elected and will stay till the time stipulated in the constitution.

Babar said that the president was in Dubai to meet his children from where he will go to London to meet his daughter.

He falsified rumours claiming that Zardari will remain in London till the end of his term, adding that the president will come back to Pakistan at all costs, the report added. (ANI)
