Younus hopeful Junaid would become Pak's next 'Wasim Akram' in future

Islamabad, Jan 2(ANI): Veteran batsman Younus Khan has expressed hope that new pace sensation Junaid Khan would go on to emulate the success obtained by legendary left-arm pace bowler Wasim Akram for Pakistan following impressive bowling performance during the first one-day international against India in Chennai.

Junaid grabbed four wickets to rock India's top-order but it was the manner in which he picked up those that remained more impressive with swing, seam and sense, the Express Tribune reports.

Younus, nevertheless, hoped the show continues for a long time, saying the great thing about Junaid is the way he's performing consistently.

Younus said this is a good sign not just for the team but for Junaid as well, and if he keeps going on like this, we'll hopefully find another good left-arm fast-bowler, someone like Wasim Akram. Junaid's keen and wants to do well. (ANI)
