New York, Aug 10 (ANI): American golfing star Tiger Woods has reportedly hired a contractor to save his luxurious mansion from sinking into the ground after he and his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn noticed cracks in the walls and doors rubbing along the ground.
According to the New York Post, the world number one, who won 1.5 million dollars at last week's Bridgestone Invitational, is busy trying to earn his first major win in more than five years this weekend at the PGA Championship at the Oak Hill Country Club.
The report further said that Woods hired a contractor to stabilize his 10,000-square-foot waterfront mansion in Jupiter Island in Florida after noticing the cracks, although an employee from the South Coast Foundation Systems said that such things are common in Florida.
According to the employee, the Florida soil has layers of organic matter that eventually decomposes after which, many homes start sinking.
The report further said that the mansion is being stabilized with large helical piles that cost an estimated 1,000 dollars apiece, adding that a home the size of Woods' would require 15 of the piles.
The report further said that contractors have bust open a hole in Woods' dining room to further trouble-shoot the situation. (ANI)
