Women spend 10 days of a year doing their hair

London, Dec 20 (ANI): The average woman spends ten days a year making sure her hair looks perfect, a new survey has found.

According to those questioned, ten minutes each day is devoted to washing and conditioning, the Daily Mail reported.

They spent another 15 minutes blow drying their hair, and the same again styling their locks into the right shape - 40 minutes in total.

Half admitted they took even longer before a night out. But for some, all that initial effort is just too much.

12 percent said that they only brush their hair once, in the morning, and don't bother for the rest of the day.

Five percent confessed that, on some days, they didn't bother to wash, dry or even brush their hair, tying it up instead.

The survey asked 500 women how long they spent each day washing, drying and styling their locks.

Out of those polled, by professional haircare retailer Fabriah.com, 30 percent said that they gave their hair a conditioning treatment every fortnight.

"If you have a good, regular cut then keeping your hair in tip-top condition shouldn't be too difficult," a spokesman for the site said.

"A lot of people do wash their hair every day - although most of us can get away with doing it every couple - and using a good shampoo and conditioner is important to keep your hair strong and looking healthy and shiny," he said. (ANI)
