London, Feb. 16 (ANI): Women in the UK are increasingly becoming their family's main breadwinner and are enjoying being in the new role, research has revealed.
According to the study, two fifths of women in relationships, where they and their male spouse are in full-time employment, earn more than their partner, the Daily Mail reported.
But the majority of the women who earned the most, confessed that their other half didn't like that they were earning more than them.
The poll conducted by discount website myvouchercodes.co.uk found that some women even said that their better wage packets are often the source of fights between the couple.
Another of the 1,962 adult women questioned said that her relationship changed after she was given a promotion.
Twenty-three per cent of the higher earners said that they "secretly enjoyed" the fact they made more than their spouse. (ANI)
