Wilfried Zaha's brother Serge avoids jail sentence following Blackberry theft row

London, Aug 12 (ANI): Manchester United star Wilfried Zaha's brother has avoided a jail sentence for theft and criminal damage after magistrates handed Serge Zaha a nine-month community order and told him he would be supervised during that time to ensure he behaves.

According to the Mirror, the court heard how he pinched the BlackBerry phone from a man in a Boots store at a shopping centre and Serge, 31, pleaded guilty to stealing a mobile, and causing criminal damage at a police station.

After officers probing the theft took Serge into custody on March 22, he carried out the second offence of destroying a pamphlet called the Police Code of Practice, the report said.

The report added that his appearance at court is a world away from the life that his 20-year-old brother Wilfried leads, earning 35,000 pounds a week at Man United, after he was signed from Crystal Palace in a 15 million pound transfer deal. (ANI)
