BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender, India’s happiest festival, returns to Delhi this November. Bacardi and Only Much Louder bring you the fourth edition of the festival featuring over 200 bands across six stages in four cities with its signature festive spirit. This year, the festival started out in Pune from 18th – 20th October, and will now travel to Bangalore on 23rd and 24th November, make a stop in Delhi on 30th November and 1st December and end in Kolkata on 14th and 15th of December. This is the first time that the festival will take place in Kolkata.

Artist Lineup for Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Delhi
Chic feat. Nile Rodgers: American musician, composer, guitarist and one of the most influential music producers in the history of pop music, Nile Rodgers headlines The DEWARISTS in Delhi. Nile Rodgers, along with his R&B/soul/funk band Chic is responsible for some of the biggest disco hits of the 70s, like ‘I Want Your Love’, ‘Everybody Dance’, ‘Le Freak’ and ‘Good Times’. Nile Rodgers has produced some of the biggest artists in pop history including Madonna, David Bowie, Diana Ross and most recently collaborated with pop stars Daft Punk co-writing and playing on three tracks on their current album Random Access Memories, including the massively successful single ‘Get Lucky’.
Meshuggah: Swedish extreme metal pioneers Meshuggah headline the BACARDÍ Arena in Delhi bringing 26 years of incredible songwriting featuring complex time signatures, technical prowess and a sound that is truly their own. The band have been known to fuse their distinct style of metal with influences ranging from death and thrash metal to jazz fusion. Their distinctive sound has influenced a number of Indian metal bands.
MUTEMATH: Grammy nominated American alt-rock stars MUTEMATH headline the BACARDÍ Arena in Delhi. Formed in New Orleans in 2003, the sonically adventurous band has since earned itself a reputation as one of modern music’s most exciting young groups over the last decade. Since their formation, the band has released three studio albums, four EPs and has been featured on several compilations including OSTs for Twilight and Transformers.
J.Viewz: Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer and visual artist J.Viewz brings his signature sound of break beat and chill to the Eristoff Wolves Den in Delhi. The title track of this Brooklyn-based producer’s debut album was remixed by trance duo Infected Mushroom, making it an instant dance-floor hit, and catapulting J.Viewz to success. Known for his incredible live visual imagery, J.Viewz aka Johnathan Dagan was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2012 for best recording package for his acclaimed album Rivers and Homes.
Michal Menert: From the cutting-edge Pretty Lights Music label, which started the electro hip-hop movement, Michal Menert headlines the ERISTOFF Wolves Den in Delhi and Kolkata this year. His sound combines obscure vintage samples from both Eastern European and Western vinyl with rich analog synthesis and organic hard hitting beats; a fusion of yesterday’s elements and tomorrow’s ideas. Menert’s BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender debut was at the ERISTOFF Wolves Den in Pune in 2012 was very well received and he returns to the festival this year.
The BACARDÍ Arena features the biggest headliners of the festival, as well the best rock and metal acts from India and across the globe. The stage will unite festivalgoers across stages for the must-see headliners this year. Extreme metal giants Meshuggah (Sweden) and prominent alt-rock band MUTEMATH (New Orleans) will headline the BACARDI ARENA in Delhi, exhibiting his signature break beat and experimental sound. The stage will also feature performances from four-piece post-rock band And So I Watch You From Afar (Ireland), Karsh Kale Collective + The NH7 All Stars (New York/India), hardcore act Scribe (Mumbai), known for their live energy and on-stage antics, local multi-genre act The Ska Vengers (Delhi), alternative rock band Tough On Tobacco (Mumbai), and the debut performance of experimental, progressive metal collective SundogProject (Delhi).
The DEWARISTS brings alive the best of folk, world and eclectic music to the festival featuring passionate artists with inspirational stories who create a laidback vibe, and constant sense of merriment throughout the day at this stage. This year, funk legends Chic feat. Nile Rodgers (New York) headline The DEWARISTS. The stage also features performances by iconic sufi rockers Mekaal Hasan Band (Lahore, Pakistan), British indie folk act Dry The River (London), who are going to release their sophomore studio album soon, popular folk band Kailasa (Mumbai), celebrated indie-pop vocalist Lucky Ali, Pakistani pop-rock stalwarts Noori (Lahore, Pakistan) as well as local Hindi pop/sufi rockers Faridkot (Delhi).
ERISTOFF Wolves Den
The high-energy ERISTOFF Wolves Den gets you to the dance floor with live electronica and dance music through the day. This year, ERISTOFF Wolves Den features performances from drum & bass pioneer Benga (London), electro hip-hop artist Michal Menert (USA) from the cutting-edge label Pretty Lights Music that pioneered and popularized the genre, Grammy-nominated producer J.Viewz (New York), bass heavy rising star Nucleya (Delhi), popular drum n’ bass and electronica duo Shiva Soundsystem (London), US-based electronica producer Kill Paris (Los Angeles) who will make his India debut with the performance, genre-defying electronica producer Sampology (Australia), and also hotly tipped young electronica producer Sandunes (Mumbai).
MTS Other Stage
MTS Other Stage features raw acoustic talent, singer-songwriters and sometimes the most unexpectedly fantastic acts at the festival. This year, the stage will feature performances from the wholly encapsulating Rajasthan Roots, singer-songwriter Prateek, with a double bass and drums together known as the Prateek Kuhad Collective (Delhi), singer-songwriter Dhruv Visvanath (Delhi), popular singer-songwriter duo Zervas & Pepper (Wales, UK), alternative pop singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke (Australia), and upcoming indie-pop act Nischay Parekh (Kolkata)
BREEZER Dub Station
BREEZER Dub Station brings dancehall vibes, reggae, dubstep and drum ‘n’ bass to the festival each year. The BREEZER Dub Station will feature performances by future music producer Frame/Frame (Delhi), dancehall crew The Heatwave (London) Brit reggae sensation YT (England), garage, grime, bass and alternative electronica with Moniker (Delhi), dubstep act Swaggamuffin (Delhi), electronic music producer Tarqeeb (Delhi), DJ collective Soundclash (Delhi), New Delhi underground dance music collective The Grind (Delhi), breakdance/hip-hop rapper and DJ Ziggy The Blunt (Germany/India), reggae, bass and dancehall DJ Baba Jas (Pondicherry), glitch-rock/reggae DJ Dubtron (Delhi) rock and hip-hop remix DJ and producer Poirier (Canada) and glitch-heavy electronica artist Spoonbill (Australia).
Red Bull Tour Bus
The epic Red Bull Tour Bus travels to Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Delhi this year, bringing the best indie and emerging artists to the festival. The bus transforms into a stage at the festival, and will host a number of exciting acts, such as critically acclaimed producer Sahej Bakshi’s newly-formed band Dualist Inquiry Band (India), hugely popular folk-fusion act Swarathma (Bangalore), up-and-coming indie-pop band Hey Geronimo (Australia), popular four-piece indie rock act We Were Promised Jetpacks (Scotland), hip-hop/drum n bass band Bombay Bassment (Mumbai), electronica duo FuzzCulture (Delhi), indie rock outfit MoonDogs (Jammu), and popular garage punk band The Lightyears Explode (Mumbai).
Rewarding long-time fans and limiting tickets to 9,000
This year BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender rewards its long-time fans. After having more than 15,000 thrilled festivalgoers in Pune on the final day last year, the festival reduces the number of tickets to 9,000 in each city this year. BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender is about introducing music lovers in India to festival culture; it’s about providing the best possible festival experience – from the bands that play, to the vibe, to creating the happiest memories – for fans across the country. The festival reduces the number of tickets this year to create the most memorable experiences for those people, and to give back to the community that has supported and strengthened the festival year on year. The festival ticket will also be priced at exactly the same amount as the previous year (Rs. 3,000) for people who have been part of the BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender journey or attended any of the OML festivals in the past.
In Delhi, tickets are priced at Rs 3,750 for a Season Pass, Rs, 3,000 a Season Pass for the NH7 Community and Rs 1,500 for an Under-21 Season Pass. Tickets are now available at http://nh7.in/weekender/.
