Weight jibes more offensive than swearing, nudity

London, Aug 09 (ANI): Britons are more sensitive about looks than any other subject, a recent survey has revealed.

The poll commissioned by energy drinks website V-Hab.com found that about 43 per cent of adults find jibes about other people's appearance the most upsetting, the Daily Express reported.

That falls to 39 per cent if it is one's own appearance being disparaged.

Only 35 per cent of those questioned in the survey admitted that they found jokes or insulting comments about other people's race or religion to be the most offensive.

Meanwhile, just 22 per cent said that they find the use of four-letter words in the media offensive, suggesting that swearing has become a routine.

Just 13 per cent said that they still object to seeing nudity on film, in magazines and on TV. (ANI)
