Sydney, Nov. 4 (ANI): Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has admitted that he is unlikely to play in the first Test against South Africa at the Gabba as he is suffering from a calf injury.
Though his latest calf injury is minor, but Watson knows his lengthy catalogue of injuries is counting against him and, therefore, does not want to miss the second or third Tests.
"It's not as bad (as it's been), it's only pretty minor but I know how things can go if you don't really look after it and get it right the first time," The Telegraph.com.au quoted Watson, as saying.
Watson, who suffered the calf strain during bowling for NSW against Queensland in a Shield match, said that he is would still try to make it on the first Test against Proteas, and is hoping the injury settles down soon.
"I'll be certainly making sure I get it right the first time. It's still a little bit stiff, I'm just hoping it settles down over the next couple of days," Watson said. (ANI)
