Amidst the IPL hullabaloo, Sachin Tendulkar managed to break the big news as he released the trailer of his biographical film, ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams.’ One of the most awaited films of this year, the documentary on his life is slated to release on May 26. The trailer’s voice over is provided by Tendulkar and also features the master himself. The movies focuses on his personal as well as professional front. Earlier, Tendulkar took to his social media accounts to announce the release date of the trailer on Wednesday that mentioned, ‘Come experience my journey on and off the 22 yards. #SachinTrailer releases on April 13 at 7 PM.’ He also released a new poster of his movie. Meanwhile, the trailer release poster was tweeted by @SachintheFilm that read, “The stage is set and we are ready to begin… #SachinTrailer releases on 13th April, 7 PM. Are you guys ready? #SachinABillionDreams.” The movie is likely to be released across 200 theatres around the world. It was shot for 30 months in five countries. The last day of the shoot took place at Shivaji Park, and it was a quite an emotional moment for producer Ravi Bhagchandka as well as the cast and crew, as Tendulkar was present himself. The movie is directed by James Erskine and the music has been composed by Academy Award winner AR Rahman. The biographical flick stars Tendulkar himself, his son Arjun Tendulkar and Mayuresh Pem.
The year 2016 saw release of two biopics on life of Mohammad Azharuddin and MS Dhoni; the former did not go down well with the audiences while the other earned all the accolades.
