AB de Villiers, one of the best players in the world, is currently in India representing the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. By the look of things, de Villiers’ son Abraham too seems to be following his father’s footsteps. He is seen playing cricket with his father and also watching Virat Kohli bat in the nets from a distance. De Villiers also tries to teach his son say “Go RCB”. This video, which was published on April 14 has already crossed 1 million views. After missing out on a few games initially, de Villiers returned to the IPL, smashing a 46-ball 89 against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). But he ended up on the losing side in that match. De Villiers in his three matches has struck 137 runs at 68.50 and a strike rate of 141.23. Just a few hours before the match against Gujarat Lions (GL) at Rajkot, de Villiers once again pulled out due to injury. But Chris Gayle took de Villiers’ place in the side and scored a match-winning 77 off 38, which ensured RCB set GL a target of 214. RCB are now in the sixth position with 4 points from six matches. RCB will play Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. RCB finished runners-up last year to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) last year. Incidentally, they ended up second best against another Hyderabad franchise Deccan Chargers (DC) in 2009, when IPL matches were shifted to South Africa.
