Warner distances himself from brother's 'pretender' tweet to Watson

Sydney, July 22 (ANI): Australian player David Warner has chosen to distance himself from his brother's abusive tweet to Shane Watson in which the former vice-captain was described as a selfish pretender.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Warner said in a statement circulated by Cricket Australia that everyone was entitle to his opinions but he did not endorse his brother's comments and fully supported Shane Watson and all his teammates.

Warner's brother also addressed a tweet to Cricket Australia saying he hoped they had a business class ticket for David Warner booked from South Africa to London because it was about time they had a batsman who would have a go.

The cricketer had been sent to Zimbabwe to gain match practice with Australia A after his suspension for punching England batsman Joe Root in a nightclub, the report said. (ANI)
