Warne selling Melbourne mansion for 15 mln dollars

Sydney, June 7 (ANI): Australian spin legend Shane Warne has reportedly listed his luxurious Melbourne mansion on the market, with the asking price believed to be around 15 million dollars.

Confirming the sale of the mansion, an agent said that although the sale would be started privately, it is yet to be decided whether the house will be eventually be put to auction or not, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

According to the report, the heritage-listed property, which Warne bought for 8.55 million dollars in 2009 and shared with then-wife Simone Callahan, was completely renovated by the cricketer to include a gym, basement garage, tennis court, cinema and a pool with his cricket number, 23, inscribed on the bottom.

Last year's reports have mentioned that Warne and girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley had allegedly made a nine million-dollar offer for a 13-bedroom Georgian estate in the English countryside, in order to finally unite under one roof after being in a long-distance relationship.

Meanwhile, the report also said, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting is believed to have spent close to ten million dollars for a 1920s Edwardian mansion in Melbourne earlier this year.

The property is protected by large wrought iron gates and a seven-camera security system, and contains seven bedrooms, a library, marble fireplace, billiards room, pool, theatre, a full-size tennis court and a private access lane to the beach, the report added. (ANI)
