Kolkata, July 14 (ANI): Former cricketer Vangipurapu Venkata Sai Laxman on Sunday hailed Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his patient temperament despite several odds after the Indian team's win in the final of the recent tri-series played in the Caribbean Islands.
Laxman, who was speaking on the sidelines of an event here, said: "What really impresses me is the way he (Dhoni) handles tough situations, and the way he plays the game, because he has got a uniqueness which I have always mentioned."
"You know, he plays cricket as a sport, he does not get too emotionally involved over the outcome of the game, but just goes out and plays his best and makes sure that his team plays its best. I think the other day the win in West Indies showed how temperamentally good Dhoni is, because the way he handled the pressure and the way he reacted to the situation, was just unbelievable," Laxman added.
Less than three weeks after lifting the Champions Trophy, Dhoni held a rapidly imploding innings together in compiling an unbeaten 45, carting the hapless Eranga for a six, a four and then a six off successive deliveries in the final over of the match against Sri Lanka. (ANI)
