De Villiers says Proteas must learn to adapt on different pitches to become top ODI team

Johannesburg, Mar 21 (ANI): South Africa one-day captain AB de Villiers has claimed his team need to learn to win on any surface if they are to rise to the top of the fifty-over format ahead of their fourth ODI against Pakistan in Durban.

South Africa leads the five-match series 2-1 and De Villiers said they would like to close out the series on Thursday, Sport24 reports.

De Villiers said they playing at home so they would like to get bouncy and quick tracks but, over the last few years, the wickets in South Africa have slowed up quite a bit so they have to deal with it.

De Villiers added you want to become the top ODI team in the world, which is their eventual goal they have to beat any team, on any wicket. (ANI)
