Sydney, Nov 20 (ANI): Former England captain Michael Vaughan has said in his column that the most important aspect for young batsman Michael Carberry when he walks out at the Gabba, is his mindset.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Vaughan pointed out that the first Ashes Test is such a massive occasion that you can be certain he will be more nervous than at any other time in his life.
Vaughan said Carberry has to get it in his head he has faced Mitchell Johnson in one-day cricket, batted against bowlers who have bowled at the pace of Ryan Harris and Peter Siddle before and loads of off-spinners like Nathan Lyon, according to the report.
The former captain added that Carberry has to see it as a huge opportunity and exciting challenge to go on and get an Ashes hundred, the report mentioned. (ANI)
