Washington, Jan 3 (ANI): The US State Department has said that it was taking the terrorist threat against their ambassador in Yemen and American troops serving in the Arab state "very seriously".
US intelligence officials also said that they believe Al-Qaeda's threat against American ambassador in Yemen, and a call to kill soldiers there, is credible.
The terrorist network has offered thousands of dollars in gold to anyone who kills Feierstein or any U.S. soldier serving there, Fox News reports.
The bounties on Feierstein, 160,000 dollars in gold, and on American troops, 23,000 dollars in gold, were posted online Saturday.
According to the report, they were set to "inspire and encourage our Muslim nation for jihad".
Al Qaeda is Yemen is notoriously violent. Their propaganda videos stand out and have the singular focus of attacking Westerners, mostly Americans, the report said. (ANI)
