UK teen declared Microsoft Word 2007 world champion

London, Aug. 8 (ANI): Kieran Youngman, a UK student at Sawtry Community College in Cambridgeshire, has become the world champion at using Microsoft Word 2007, beating 344,000 competitors from 90 countries.

According to the BBC, the boy aged 17, has won 5,000 dollars and a trophy competing against 100 finalists in Washington DC.

Certiport had set online challenges for the 2007 or 2010 versions of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Youngman said that this certification will help boost his career and score extra marks at school in reports and essay writing.

He further quoted that his friends back in UK would not be surprised to see his success. (ANI)
