UEFA opens disciplinary proceedings against CSKA Moscow after 'racism' allegations

Johannesburg, Oct 25 (ANI): UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against CSKA Moscow after Manchester City's Yaya Toure alleged that he was racially abused by their fans in a Champions League match.

According to Sport24, UEFA said in a statement that disciplinary proceedings had been opened against CSKA Moscow for racist behaviour of their fans and for setting off of fireworks at the night's UEFA Champions League group stage match in Moscow against Manchester City FC.

It also said that the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Board would deal the case on October 30.

Toure recently said that black players could boycott the 2018 Russia World Cup if the racism problem continues in the country. (ANI)
