Twitter hit by 'murder-charged' Aaron 'Hernandezing' craze

Washington, June 28 (ANI): The latest trend to reportedly hit Twitter is of people posting pictures of themselves 'Hernandezing'.

According to The Washington Times, this trend has been prompted by the arrest of National Football League (NFL) star Aaron Hernandez on charges of murdering a semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd.

The report further said that this new trend comes with certain guidelines like the user must be in a white t-shirt and must have his/her hands together in the back, as if cuffed, like Hernandez, who was in a similar style during the time of his arrest.

According to the report, the Twitter user can also wear red shorts in the picture, along with a non-smiling, dour expression like Hernandez, adding that the user got extra credit if he/she is met at the door by his/her friends, and is then led out and loaded into a car.

According to Rick Chandler of sports website Sports Grid, which studied the trend, the new craze is in a very poor taste.

Hernandez, who is being held without bail, is also investigated as to whether he might be connected to a double homicide that occurred in the city last July, the report added. (ANI)
