Top bid for Buffet charity lunch reaches a million dollar mark

London, June 9 (ANI): Billionaire Warren Buffet's anti-poverty fundraiser through an auction at EBay has raised one million dollars for a 'power lunch' with the business magnate.

The money raised through the auction will be sent to the San Francisco charity association called GLIDE that provides for nearly a million meals each year to the poor, CNN reports.

According to the report, this year's top bid at the auction has been much below last year's record of 3.5 million dollars and the least since 2007.

GLIDE founder Cecil Williams said that though it is not known that how much money the auction will raise annually, the organization considers the amount as a gift needed and shared.

While the minimum bid was $25,000 when the bid started on June 2 this year, the auction has raised 15.8 million dollars for the organization since 2000, the report added. (ANI)
