5) Match 15 IPL 2013: 62 (32)MI vs PWI

After surviving a lucky edge of Rahul Sharma early in his innings, Rohit Sharma capitalized on PWI skipper Yuvraj Singh’s decision to bring back the fast bowlers as he hit Mitchell Marsh, Mithun Manhas and Ashok Dinda for as many as 5 sixes  in his unbeaten 32 ball 62.. He was particularly hard on Ashok DInda whom he hit for 2 in the last over. MI won the game by 41 runs as the total proved too hot for PWI to handle who were bundled out for 129.

4) Match 28 IPL2013: 73 (43) MIvs DD

The first 10 overs saw MI scoring 60 runs while they managed a handsome 100 runs in the last 10 and the difference was Rohit Sharma. Slow, early on in the innings, he accelerated at a breathtaking pace hitting the ball almost at will. DD tried as many as 6 bowlers from their ranks but none of them could ruffle the feathers of the MI skipper who scored 73 runs of just 43 balls to take the team total almost singlehandedly to 161.

3) Match 41 IPL 2013: 79 (39) MI vs KXIP

From 55 for 2 in 10 overs to a  score of 174 in their allotted 20 overs, MI has only their skipper to thank. From a intense pressure situation to a match winning total, the path was laid by Rohit Sharma. Beginning with Piyush Chawla to VRV Singh and then Azhar Mahmood, none of  the bowlers were spared of his onslaught. However, the icing on the cake was the last over when he plummeted David Hussey for 27 runs which included 3 sixes and 2 fours.

2) Match 25 IPL2011: 87 (48) CSK vs MI

Against the best team of the lot lead by the best captain and boasting of the best bowling attack , Rohit Sharma produced an innings of such quality that CSK  was left reeling in awe. Anything M.S Dhoni tried that day from employing three spinners in Jakati, Ashwin and Raina to using all his fast bowlers in rotation, could not stop the Mumbai lad who hit the ball in all corners of the park with distinguishing style and confidence.

Coming in as early as in the 3rd over, he stayed till the end playing exactly half the overs and scored a magnificent 109 that took his team to 182 and sealed the game.
