Johannesburg, Oct 21 (ANI): German tennis player Tommy Haas has won his second Austrian Open title by beating Netherlands' Robin Haase 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 on Sunday.
According to Sport24, Haas first won in Vienna in 2001 having lost the final the year before to Tim Henman.
Victory over the Dutchman denied Haase his third trophy in Austria after twice winning on clay at Kitzbuehel, the report said.
Haas said after winning that it was really tough and he had to play well, adding that he played the big points well in the important moments.
Haas, who also won Munich on clay in the spring, stayed in the race for one of the four spots remaining in the eight-man World Tour Finals starting in a fortnight in London, the report said.
He currently stands provisional 12th, the report added. (ANI)
