True to its nature, the Indian Hindi film industry had its own share of drama, death, fights, sleaze, controversy, comebacks, corruption, commercial success and failure, and nudity, in 2012. The same ingredients that some of the Bollywood films employ to tease, titillate, torture or teach its committed audiences. Here are some of the most interesting Bollywood events from the year 2012:

Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger not only crossed Rs 150 crore in India, it went on to become the second biggest grosser ever, after ‘3 Idiots’. Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, this Yash Raj Film is a love story of a spy who beats all odds to reunite with his lady-love. The film released in as many as 3,300 screens in India and 550 overseas.

According to the trade sources, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ crossed the 200-crore mark (worldwide collections), in less than 12 days, to become the fastest money-spinner of all time. As of today, the film has collected a staggering 221 crore in India and overseas markets.
