New Delhi, Feb. 6: In a bid to avert disruption of Parliament over his "Hindu terror" remarks, Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde sought to pacify the BJP today.
"There is no colour to any terrorism," he told reporters when asked to comment on his remarks during the Congress conclave in Jaipur last month. Shinde had accused the BJP and the RSS of promoting "Hindu terror".
"I have already said… that 'my thought is the same as the party line'," he said today. The Congress stand is that terrorism should not be linked with any religion.
Sources said the government is keen to bring the Criminal Law (Amendment) ordinance for approval in the first few days of the budget session. The BJP had threatened to disrupt proceedings over Shinde's remarks.
