It is often believed that daughters are lucky for their fathers and Gujarat Lions captain Suresh Raina had the same feeling on Thursday night. Daughter Gracia had come to the stadium for the first time to watch her dad play and Raina had a great outing at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Not only did his team thrash Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets, but also Raina bagged the Orange Cap as he became the highest run-getter in the ongoing Indian Premier League season.
Raina, who scored an unbeaten 34, dedicated the victory and the Orange Cap to his daughter Gracia.
The southpaw, after the victory over Virat Kohli & Co., took to social media and uploaded a picture on his Twitter account.
"Much needed win for @TheGujaratLions and an orange cap! This one goes to you #Gracia 😘 #GameMaariChhe #IPL2017 #Graciasfirstmatch," Raina tweeted.

Raina and boys dominated with both bat and ball to thrash RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Chasing a modest target of 135 runs, Gujarat crossed the line in 13.5 overs.
Aaron Finch and skipper Raina played a crucial role adding 92 runs for the THIRD wicket.
Finch produced a whirlwind innings of 72 runs, hitting five boundaries and six sixes during his 34-ball stay in the middle, while Raina remained unbeaten on 34, off 30 balls with four hits to the fence and a six.
