What’s the story?
The wait is finally over for Sunrisers Hyderabad fans as fans can now purchase the team’s jersey for IPL 2017. The team confirmed on their official Twitter handle that the merchandise that the fans can get their hands on is finally available. That also included a replica of SRH’s jersey for IPL 2017.
In case you didn’t know…
Under the captaincy of David Warner, Sunrisers Hyderabad claimed IPL 2016 after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final. The team are currently preparing for the upcoming edition where they will be hoping to defend their crown with a settled squad that also saw some great additions.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently training in preparation for IPL 2017, which begins on April 5. They largely kept the side that won IPL 2016 and only made minor tweaks during IPL Auction 2017. The two major ones were the addition of Afghanistan duo of Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi.
The big area of concern for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2016 despite their victory was the lack of a world-class spinner and they addressed their concern during the auction by picking up not one, not two but three stars who have made an already strong team, a force to be reckoned with.
Aside from Rashid Khan, who recently broke the world record for being the youngest to take 50 ODI wickets and Nabi, who has continued his impressive performances with both bat and ball, SRH also signed Pravin Tambe, Chris Jordan and Mohammad Siraj among others.
With a settled squad and a new jersey, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hoping to defend their IPL crown beginning with their opening game on April 5 against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad not only have a settled squad but also made additions in the areas that they needed. They will go into the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League as one of the favourites in their brand-new jersey that is an upgrade on what they had before.
