Rising Pune Supergiant’s Steve Smith has taken off to Dubai for a small holiday between Indian Premier League matches.
RPS beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 27 runs in their last IPL 10 game on 16 April. They will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on 22 April.
This season, Smith replaced Mahendra Singh Dhoni as Pune’s skipper. He joined the franchise after Australia’s tour of India ended with the visitors losing 2-1.
He started off the league with an unbeaten 84 off 54 balls, which helped RPS beat Mumbai Indians in their IPL 10 opener. Pune subsequently lost three matches in a row before they beat RCB on 16 April.
After losing three out of five matches, Rising Pune Supergiant are second from the bottom in IPL 10 rankings with four points.
Shouldn’t skipper Steve Smith then be training and planning to turn things around for the team right now?
