Sri Lanka beat Windies to leave final spots wide open in tri-nation series

Trinidad, July 9 (ANI):Sri Lanka moved a step closer to making the final of the Tri-Nation series in West Indies after Kumar Sangakkara led with his batting in a 39-run victory under the Duckworth-Lewis method over the West Indies in Trinidad.

The Lankans finished at 219-8 in their 41 overs with the Windies being assigned a revised target of 230 from the same number of overs, where they fell short with 39 runs, despite half-centuries from Darren Bravo and Lendl Simmons.

All the three teams are currently in the race to reach the final with just one game left between India and Sri Lanka. (ANI)
