New Delhi, Dec 29 (IANS) A special aircraft of national carrier Air India will bring back the body of the 23-year-old gang-rape victim from Singapore Saturday evening, an official said.
"The government has chartered an Airbus 319, which took-off in the morning and landed in Singapore around 1 p.m. (Indian time)", a senior Air India official told IANS.
Four government officials have accompanied the crew to Singapore.
"We expect the aircraft to take off as soon as all the modalities are completed in Singapore. The aircraft is expected to reach Delhi by evening," the official said.
The woman died early Saturday at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. She was brutally gang-raped and tortured on board a moving bus here Dec 16.
