Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has not ruled out a return for the just retired ex-Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, even though he had said that he would never return to football.
When asked by the press if Sir Alex could return to football, Wenger replied, “In six months we will know more about that. You cannot rule it completely out.
“It is difficult to take a drug for 30 years and suddenly get rid of it.”
Wenger and Sir Alex have had their tussles when the two teams battled for the title over the years, especially after it reached a boiling point with the infamous ‘Pizzagate’ scandal in 2004. And the Arsenal manager even joked about what Sir Alex may have written in his autobiography, which includes a chapter ‘Competing with Wenger’.
“We all fear the worst!” Wenger joked. ”I suspect he had written some of it at home at night, remembering things and thinking: ‘that goes into my book!’.”
He also admitted that he had not read the book yet.
