Siddle was named as Australia's premier bowler while Haddin was named as the best wicket-keeper ahead of Matthew Wade, a selection of past and present first-class cricketers said in the survey.
Haddin, who was dropped at the start of the summer to make way for Wade, was the favoured keeper by 44 per cent of current players, compared to 27 per cent who voted for Wade, News.com.au reports.
According to the report, however, Wade was the preferred keeper among past players, the survey said.
The survey conducted before the South Africa series, found that 33 per cent of current national and state players regarded Ponting as the best, compared to 26 per cent for Clarke.
However, past players strongly supported Clarke in the survey, with 46 per cent voting for him compared to just 17 per cent for Ponting, the report added.
Remarkably, given he is almost 38, Ponting was still rated the best fieldsman, well ahead of Steve Smith and Dave Warner, the survey noted.
Siddle was endorsed as the best bowler, ahead of Victorian James Pattinson, while injured teenage pace sensation Pat Cummins was voted the fastest, it concluded. (ANI)
