New Delhi, July 19 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of tarnishing the image of people in power without having any proof of their wrongdoing.
"There is a tendency that the major opposition party has, to tarnish the image of persons holding important positions without having any proof in their hands," Dikshit said at a function here.
"No one has been able to raise any finger against the city government. The allegations regarding the Games (Commonwealth Games) were replied to satisfactorily by the government, and the investigating agency could not find any lapse in our functioning," she said.
She said that the BJP was more interested in sensationalising things than in exposing the truth.
"The development in Delhi could be seen and felt by one and all, including visitors coming from different states and other countries," she said.
