Islamabad, Sept. 19 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address the U N General Assembly session next week.
Foreign Office spokesman Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, told media in Islamabad that during the prime minister's week-long stay in the United States from September 23, he will address the UN General Assembly on September 27, in which he will highlight Pakistan's point of view on various regional and international issues.
Sharif will also highlight the efforts of the present government to curb the menace of terrorism besides its endeavor to bring stability to the region.
The spokesman said Sharif will also hold bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the General Assembly session.
He will discuss various bilateral and regional issues with these leaders.
Chaudhry said Sharif is expected to also attend various fora during his stay in New York to apprise U.S. think tanks about government policies.
The spokesman said that both India and Pakistan are also engaged in trying to arrange a meeting between Prime Ministers Sharif and Manmohan Singh in New York. (ANI)
