Mumbai, July 12 (ANI): Family members of victims killed or injured in the 2006 Mumbai train blasts paid floral tribute on the seventh anniversary of the dreadful attack here on Thursday.
Seven blasts took place on local trains in Mumbai during a span of 11 minutes, killing over 200 people and injuring about 700.
Even after seven years, key accused Azam Chima along with 14 others still are absconding in the case.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirti Somaiya said: "We organised several programmes for the families of blast victims on the seventh anniversary of the attack. But the victims are asking one question that even after seven years why the trial is on in the 2006 case?."
The case is still being tried in a special designated court in Mumbai.
The examination of witnesses resumed after a span of two years after the country's apex court lifted its 2008 stay order in the case. (ANI)
