Samsung announces smaller version of Galaxy S4 smartphone

Washington, May 31(ANI): Mobile manufacturer Samsung announced Galaxy S4 Mini, a smaller version of its popular Galaxy smartphone series.

Galaxy S4 the parent version was launched in March and since then has reportedly sold 10 million units.

In a report by CBS News, the mini version has a 4.3-inch screen, 1.7-gigahertz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera and weighs about 3.8 ounces. It also features front- and rear-facing cameras, translator and a health tracker.

According to the report the smartphone has Android version 4.4.2 or Jelly Bean and there are various versions of the smartphone on offer including 4G LTE, 3G and 3G with a dual SIM and will be available in black and white.

The product's price and launch date has not been disclosed as yet, the report added. (ANI)
