Sydney, May 22 (ANI): Twenty-one-year-old Mohammad Arifi's love for cricket convinced the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) to appoint him as their first multi-cultural ambassador.
According to news.com.au, Arifi will help (SACA) run multi-cultural cricket programs, including a Come and Try Day at Brahma Lodge Indoor Sports Centre on Sunday, especially targeting new arrivals.
Arifi said that he will achieve SACA's goal to include more people playing the game.
Stating that he has faced difficult times in his life, Arifi said that playing cricket and finding new friends in the game has helped him recover from his past when he had lost his family to bombings. (ANI)
