Ryder makes 'low-key' gym comeback away from 'prying' eyes following 'bar assault'

Wellington, May 25 (ANI): New Zealand cricketer Jesse Ryder has reportedly made a comeback to the gym, days after he was attacked outside a Christchurch bar that left him in a coma for two days, although he is keeping the process very low key.

According to Stuff.co.nz, Ryder has been seen coming and going from Exodus gym in Wellington, although sources said that he is careful to keep himself from working out too hard, in view of his lung injury sustained in the attack.

The report further said that however, the entire process is still hush-hush as although Ryder's manager Aaron Klee had confirmed his return to the gym, he refused to give any further details, insisting on Ryder's wish for privacy over 'money or headlines' unlike the past.

The report also mentioned that Ryder has turned down big money for his story from various magazines and media in New Zealand and overseas.

Cricket Wellington chief executive Peter Clinton and the Wellington Firebrds medical staff also are keeping mum, the report added. (ANI)
