Romney back to rebuilding beach house post failed presidential run

Washington, Feb. 7 (ANI): The reconstruction of Mitt Romney's La Jolla, California home, has restarted in order to quadruple its size.

The demolition of the existing 3,000-square-foot beachfront house and the construction of a new one - including the infamous car elevator - was placed on hold during Romney's run for the Republican presidential nomination, reports Politico.

Matthew Peterson, a lawyer who is representing the Romneys during the permitting process, said that an environmental review of the project should be completed in the next month, and that if a public hearing goes well, demolition could begin within seven months. (ANI)
