Reports of my death have been greatly understated, says Morrissey

London, Feb. 2 (ANI): British singer Morrissey has shed light on his health problems and has vowed to continue with his tour after being taken to hospital.

The 53-year-old musician has had to cancel a series of shows on his US tour after he was taken to hospital suffering from a bleeding ulcer, the Daily Mail reported.

He also revealed that he has been treated for a condition which in rare cases can lead to cancer.

In a message posted on fan sites, he said that he was also treated for a condition called Barrett's oesophagus, which is often caused by acid reflux.

He also wrote that there were now no known ailments left for him to try.

"The reports of my death have been greatly understated," he wrote on a fan site True To You. (ANI)
