Out of action for almost a month after injuring his shoulder in the Ranji Test against Australia, Virat Kohli is set to make a comeback on 14 April, the BCCI confirmed in an official statement.
The BCCI Medical Team said the Team India and RCB skipper has “regained match fitness and will now be available for RCB’s next match against Mumbai Indians on April 14 in Bengaluru.”
Virat had undergone rehabilitation on his right shoulder after landing on it while trying to stop a boundary during the Australia Test series. He was forced to miss the final fixture of the series with Kuldeep Yadav replacing him in the India XI.
While Virat has been travelling with the RCB team, even appearing in the ‘opening ceremony’ of the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he announced himself on Tuesday the date of his comeback.
