Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 14 runs to reach finals of CLT20

Jaipur, Oct 5 (ANI): Rajasthan Royals have beaten Chennai Super Kings by 14 runs in the first semi-final to reach the finals of the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 tournament.

After winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni invited Rajasthan to bat first and they gave the away team a target of 160.

Ajinkya Rahane shone with the bat for the Royals, making 70 runs off just 56 balls while Dwayne Bravo stuck to his task for Chennai, getting three wickets to restrict the home team from scoring freely in the end overs.

However, Chennai completely fell apart in their chase and even late heroics from Ravichandran Ashwin (46) and Chris Morris (26 not out) could not get them over the line.

Pravin Tambe once again displayed his ageless talent, getting three wickets in his four overs and giving away just ten runs.

He was also adjudged the player of the match. (ANI)
