Quarter of young Brits say UK better off without Muslims

London, Sept. 26 (ANI): Many young people distrust Muslims and feel Britain would be better off if there were less of them in the country, a new poll has found.

The BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat Poll found that 44 percent of young people believe Muslims don't share the same values as the rest of the British population.

Of the 1000 people questioned, one in three believe Muslims are not doing enough in their communities to tackle extremism, the Daily Star reports.

Despite increased religious education in schools, the survey found that 60 percent of young people believe the Britons have a negative image of Muslims.

The poll found that more than a third of those surveyed believe immigration in not a good thing for Britain overall.(ANI)
